1. Purpose

These terms govern the use of the https://ferblanteriedufort.com website and the services offered by Ferblanterie P. Dufort et Fils Inc. (“we”), RBQ-licensed under number 2316-3173-82.

2. Quotes and estimates

Quotes submitted through the form or by phone are preliminary estimates based on the information provided. The final estimate is confirmed after an on-site visit and roof inspection. No work beyond the accepted estimate is performed without your prior written approval.

3. Warranty

All our work includes a ten (10) year warranty on workmanship and on the weather-tightness of the installed roof. Materials carry their respective manufacturer warranties in addition (duration varies by product). Details specific to your project are recorded on the work order.

4. Warranty exclusions

• Damage caused by a force-majeure event (exceptional storm, lightning strike, earthquake).
• Damage caused by unauthorized third-party intervention on the roof after our work.
• Pre-existing defects in the building structure (framing, sheathing).
• Significant structural movement (settling, added story) after installation.

5. Payment

Terms confirmed in contract. Deposit at signing, balance at completion. We accept cash, cheque and Interac e-transfer. No work begins without a deposit.

6. Limitation of liability

Our liability is limited to the work executed under the signed contract. We are not responsible for personal items left in the work zone, nor for landscape elements temporarily moved and clearly identified in the contract.

7. Intellectual property

All website content (text, project photography, logo) belongs to Ferblanterie P. Dufort et Fils Inc. and is protected by Canadian intellectual-property law. Reproduction prohibited without written permission.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Quebec and Canada. Any dispute will be brought before the competent courts of the judicial district of the Court of Quebec covering the municipality where the work was performed.
