Heritage metal roofing — copper, standing-seam (double-fold), Canadian-shingle (flat metal scales), slate and ornamental cornice work. We are one of the last shops north of Montreal that still practice these techniques the proper way.

What warranty do you offer?

Ten years on workmanship and weather-tightness. Actual material service life ranges from 35 years (factory-coated panels) to 100+ years (copper).

What territory do you serve?

Our shop is in Sainte-Adèle. We serve Mont-Tremblant, Saint-Sauveur, Saint-Donat, Morin-Heights, Prévost, Saint-Jérôme, Saint-Lin–Laurentides, Rawdon and Laval — the whole Laurentians, Lanaudière and Laval region.

How many generations of Duforts have practiced this trade?

Denis Dufort is the fourth generation to do roof sheet-metal work. His son, in training, will be the fifth. Seventy years of cumulative experience under one roof.

What materials do you use?

Galvanized and coated steel, copper, slate, zinc, pre-painted aluminum and Western red-cedar shake. The choice depends on the building’s architecture, the budget and the local context (heritage protection, exposure).

Denis Dufort is the fourth generation to practice roof sheet-metal work in this family. Seventy years of know-how passed down from one Dufort to the next, without interruption.

His son — the fifth generation — is already taking over. In the meantime, our shop remains one of the last north of Montreal to practice traditional metal roofing the proper way.
